Ladies 2’s 3 - 2 Ladies 3’s

So to the final one of the pre season warm up games and the Ladies 2’s and 3’s were playing each other in preparation for next week’s League game.
Always a tight game when we’ve played each other before, this was no different, with the 3’s organising and pressing very quickly from the start and going 2-0 up within the first
9 mins. Their flowing game kept us at bay for a good portion of the first half and although we did pressurise and win a number of corners we didn’t convert them. So, half time saw the 3’s go in with a 2-0 lead.

re-emphasised and tweaked our strategy and with a more open passing game we managed to draw level with 2 goals within 6 mins. From then on it was fairly even until we managed to break the deadlock with a third goal. An opportunity to get a 4th presented itself with a penalty flick being awarded but this was saved by Julie(“Odders”) leaving the final score at 3-2.
However, what always comes across from these games is how much depth and talent we have within the club and how well we can play against each other, demonstrating skilful play, team work and great support. Let’s continue with this positive and determined attitude as we go into the league games. Well done to Sarah for winning the MotM votes.
